How It Works

From registration to the final putt — here's what to expect when you join a Legacy Links tournament.

Questions

Frequently Asked

What age groups can participate? +
Children ages 5–18 may participate. Flights are divided into three age brackets: 12 & Under, 13–15, and 16–18. Parent or legal guardian must be 18 or older. Grandparent/grandchild and legal guardian teams are also welcome.
Does my child need a handicap or prior experience? +
No handicap is required. We offer beginner-friendly divisions including our 9-hole Family Flight for first-time tournament players. Simply indicate your child's experience level during registration and we'll place you in the right division.
What is included in the entry fee? +
Entry fees ($125–$145 per team depending on flight) include green fees, cart fees, range balls, and a tournament gift for each player. Select events also include breakfast, lunch, or a full banquet. Awards, trophies, and prizes are included at every event.
What is the refund and cancellation policy? +
Full refunds (less a $25 processing fee) are issued for written cancellations received 14 or more days before the event. Cancellations within 14 days are non-refundable. In the case of a tournament cancellation by Legacy Links CTX due to weather or other factors, full refunds will be issued.
What format are the tournaments played in? +
Junior flights (12 & Under) play a 9-hole scramble format. Varsity and Prep flights (13–18) play 18-hole better ball or stroke play depending on the division. The Open Family Flight is also 9 holes in a relaxed scramble format. Tee assignments are made by the host course pro based on player experience.
Can I register multiple child-parent teams? +
Yes — each parent/child pairing requires a separate registration. If you have multiple children participating, please complete a registration for each team. Contact us at info@legacylinkstx.com for group registration assistance.

Legacy Links CTX — Participant Waiver & Release of Liability

By registering for and participating in any Legacy Links CTX golf tournament ("Event"), the undersigned parent or legal guardian ("Registrant"), on behalf of themselves and the minor child named in this registration, hereby agrees to the following:


1. Assumption of Risk. Registrant acknowledges that participation in golf tournaments involves inherent risks, including physical injury from equipment, errant balls, uneven terrain, weather, and other participants. Registrant voluntarily assumes all such risks.


2. Release of Liability. Registrant releases, waives, and covenants not to sue Legacy Links CTX, its officers, directors, volunteers, event staff, host golf courses, and all affiliated entities from any claims arising from participation, including claims of negligence.


3. Medical Authorization. In the event of emergency, Registrant authorizes Legacy Links CTX personnel to seek emergency medical treatment for the minor child if a parent or guardian cannot be immediately reached. Registrant accepts financial responsibility for such treatment.


4. Photo & Media Release. Registrant grants Legacy Links CTX a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use photographs, video, and other media taken during Events for promotional and educational purposes.


5. Rules & Conduct. All participants agree to abide by USGA rules of golf, the host course's rules, and Legacy Links CTX code of conduct. Unsportsmanlike behavior may result in disqualification without refund.


6. Refund Policy. Entry fees are refundable (less a $25 processing fee) if written cancellation is received 14+ days before the event. No refunds for cancellations within 14 days.
